Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Betar  Ahmed Quamruzzaman has passed away.

He died while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hosapital in Singpore on Friday (July 22).

Confirming the death news, private secretary of Bangladesh Betar DG Md Mahmudun Nabi said Ahmed Quamruzzaman had been suffering from cancer for some days.

He died at 3:30am on Friday (Singapore time). His body is supposed to arrive in country in the evening today, Mahmudun Nabi added.

Ahmed Quamruzzaman left behind wife, two daughters and a lot of well-wishers to mourn his death.
